Physical Therapist

Ashley W graduated from Touro University Nevada with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2012, alongside her husband. Prior to attending school, she had a strong desire to work in pediatrics with children with special needs and followed her passion. Since graduation, she spent time in Texas, where she is originally from, before settling down in Arizona. She works in both the home and clinic setting and enjoys the wide range of ages she works with, as well as the array of diagnoses she sees. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, crafting, and being active outside with her husband and dog.

Hilary graduated with a phyiscal therapy degree in 2001 from Indiana University--Go Hoosiers! She moved to AZ just a few months after graduation and fell in love with the southwest! And she has had the pleasure of working with children and families in AZ for the past 11 years now. Hilary enjoys working in a variety of settings including children's hospitals (inpatient/outpatient), outpatient clinics, home therapies, and schools. She recently finished her certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) for children with CP and other neuromotor disorders. Hilary has experience in orthotics to improve gait, as well as assistive devices and equipment recommendation for community access. She is energetic and love working with children--they keep me young! Hilary stated, "The uniqueness of each child I've treated over the years has not only been a wonderful learning experience and assisted me to become a well-rounded therapist, but each child and family have blessed me with such beautiful friendships! I am so grateful for that! I have found a home here at Bright Horizon Rehab Therapy because of our abundance of motivated and knowledgable therapists, and because Horizon clinic's one-of-kind, home-like atmosphere. Thank you for checking out our website and I will look forward to meeting you!"

Mellissa "Missy" graduated from NAU in 1992 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy.  With over 20 years of experience working with children, Missy has practiced in a variety of settings including clinics, schools and in client’s homes.  She has even enjoyed being a traveling therapist; visiting rural areas of Arizona.  When not at work, Missy enjoys spending time with her family and is very grateful to have a wonderful husband and two amazing boys.  They enjoy camping, fishing, kayaking and playing with their two dogs; 'Cinder' and 'Blaze'.  At work, Missy's passion is making connections with families and shares their desire to see their children become the best that they can be.

She is particularly passionate about little ones in their  first 3 years of life but she enjoys working with children of  every age and stage.   Her focus is on using gentle handling skills paired with play-based activities with the ultimate goal being that therapy will not only be beneficial but can also be fun.   Whenever she is asked if she enjoys her job, Missy is quick to say that it is "honestly the best job in the world!"  She is very excited to be able to continue to share her passion as part of the Horizon team!
